Two Caiprinha cocktails

No wonder Brazil calls this their national drink. Get yourself a good bottle of cachaça, limes and sugar. Three ingredients and you have yourself this delicious cocktail.

Prep time: 10 min

Cook time: n/a

Serves: 4 (okay ... maybe 2)

Ingredients

  • 10 limes

  • 5 tbsp sugar (and more to rim your glasses)

  • 1-1 1/2 cups cachaça

Directions

  1. Wash limes. Juice 6 of the limes, and slice 4 more.

  2. Remove seeds.

  3. Muddle sliced limes in a pitcher with sugar.

  4. Add lime juice and cachaça.

  5. Pour over ice in sugar-rimmed glasses.

Zhuzh it up

  • If you have fallen in love with this drink like we have, take the extra time to cut out the bitter white pith of the limes and the drink will be ever so more memorable.

  • We have tried muddling this with a few leaves of mint. It does not disappoint.

  • We have a perfect meal to go with this beauty. Check out Tacos with Salsa Verde
