A fresh and zingy upgrade to a lemonade!
**A shrub is a sweet drinking vinegar that has fresh fruits & herbs infused into a syrup. They have a bright, tart flavour and can be mixed into cocktails or enjoyed with sparkling water**
Lemon Gin Shrub
In a rocks glass combine:
1 1/2oz lemon shrub
1 1/2oz gin
top up with sparkling water
How to create your Shrub:
grated peel of 1 lemon
1 cup sugar
3-4 stems fresh tarragon
peeled & chopped flesh of a lemon
1 cup apple cider vinegar
Mix the lemon peel and sugar together in a bowl. Add to a large glass jar along with fresh tarragon and lemon flesh. Muddle everything together. Add in the vinegar, seal and place in your fridge for 3-5 days. Give it a swirl and a shake every day.
